How to write a Yelp review

Have you purchased Bespoke Edge clothes? Wearing them right now, perhaps?!

Those of us at BE would appreciate it greatly if you were to write us a Yelp review about your experience.

We’re still a small business and in order to successfully compete with our much larger competitors, we’ve found reviews to have a huge impact. A lot of men that may be unsure about trying custom clothing will look to the experiences of others to make their final decision.

If you’ve never written a Yelp review for a business before, here’s what you need to do:

1. Go to www.Yelp.com

Your browser will likely default to your geographic area. For instance, you may see the address shown as www.yelp.com/denver.

At the top, you’ll see “write a review.”

You guessed it, click on that.

2. Search for “Bespoke Edge”

In the search field, type in “Bespoke Edge.” In the location box, type in “Fort Collins.”

Then, click on “write a review ” for our listing at the top:

3. Write your review

Now you can write your review. First, select how many stars you feel we earned and then please tell the world a bit about your experience with BE.

When you’re finished, hit “Sign up and post” – the red button at the bottom. Follow the prompts to sign up for an account.

Please note that your review will be posted publically on the web for all to see. Your name, and any associated Yelp account photo, will also be publically visible.

And that’s all there is to it!

You’ll be helping us out tremendously as well as other men who are contemplating picking up the phone and calling us.

(Prefer to write us a Google review instead? Here’s what you need to know.)

Thank you!

BE 2015 year in review

how to dress for your new year's eve party

Welcome to 2016! Another year down and another year of opportunity, challenges, and success ahead, right? I think it’s good practice to take some time to reflect on the past year. What worked? What didn’t? What baggage are you carrying into 2016? From BE’s perspective, a lot happened in 2015. We have been hard at work building our reputation as the leading provider of Denver custom suits, and in surrounding areas.

In our first blog post of 2016, we are taking a look back. Here’s what happened over the past year, and a little bit about what we have planned for 2016.

Brett was married

On October 3rd, Brett was hitched to his wife, Carolyn! The wedding took place at a Durango camp where both Brett and Carolyn once worked as camp counselors. The wedding went smoothly and everyone had a great time. And in case you were wondering, the BE suits looked great :).

Ryan’s Colorado style project

Over the summer, I started an ambitious project. I wanted to discover what men’s style means for guys in Colorado. After all, there’s this perception that all we wear out here are flannels and buffalo check patterns with our jeans. So, what I did was reach out to a handful of creatives in the Denver and Fort Collins area – people that were doing innovative work – to have them design a custom dress shirt. The idea being, was that their unique background and influence, would trickle down into the shirt.

Brett’s work shirts

Brett has continued to develop his own personal style. And this year it is becoming clear that he has an affinity for what he calls his “work shirts,” shirts that he will wear day in and day out.

Our most popular blog posts – since we began writing – have continued to be ones with the most practical information:

Notched lapel versus peaked lapels – When should you wear one over the other? What’s the difference? Learn everything to wanted to know on the topic of suit lapels with this piece.

What’s pick stitching? – A nuance of fine bespoke clothing, pick sticking is an easy way to set yourself apart from the crowd.

When to wear a pocket square – The short answer? Anytime you have a chest pocket! But you should read the full post anyway.

The Americano cocktail – a unique summer drink – This one was our most popular read on cocktails this year. The drink can be a bit of an acquired taste, but it’s a great one!

And for 2016…

Why we do what we do

owner-of-the-bespoke-edge

I was recently reminded that us guys can sometimes have a hard time asking for help.

What happened was that an acquaintance of mine was working on creating a seminar to help young men succeed. Despite putting together some great content, the event fell flat. I’ve spent some time thinking about this and I’ve come to realize that it is just another expression of what I’ll call INAFDH – I’m Not Asking For Directions, Honey.

It’s no secret that us guys don’t really like asking for directions (and today with our smart phones we never have to again!!). I’ll hold back the reins and I won’t take you down a long dirt road on male psychology, but suffice it to say, we have a tendency to think we already know everything. Especially guy stuff.

Grilling a T-bone may be hardwired onto the DNA of every man, but sadly not driving directions, recipe substitutions or – menswear.

This brings me to BE and what we do.

Indeed, we sell menswear, but it’s really a byproduct of what our passion is:

We want to be your trusted mentor in everything men’s style. We are here to answer your questions and guide you.

Not sure what suit lapel you need? We can help.

Are you looking for (3) shirts to get you started? We can help.

Not sure what a modern suit looks like? We..well, you get the idea.

That’s the purpose of the BE blog. It’s an outlet for us to teach. It’s also a platform for discussion. And philosophically, it’s an extension of what Ron has done for 37 years – helping guys look their best.

So, don’t be a stranger. We are always here to answer your questions and help you out. Drop us a line anytime at questions@bespokeedge.com or find us on Twitter or Facebook.

It’ll be our pleasure.
