How to write a Yelp review

Have you purchased Bespoke Edge clothes? Wearing them right now, perhaps?!

Those of us at BE would appreciate it greatly if you were to write us a Yelp review about your experience.

We’re still a small business and in order to successfully compete with our much larger competitors, we’ve found reviews to have a huge impact. A lot of men that may be unsure about trying custom clothing will look to the experiences of others to make their final decision.

If you’ve never written a Yelp review for a business before, here’s what you need to do:

1. Go to www.Yelp.com

Your browser will likely default to your geographic area. For instance, you may see the address shown as www.yelp.com/denver.

At the top, you’ll see “write a review.”

You guessed it, click on that.

2. Search for “Bespoke Edge”

In the search field, type in “Bespoke Edge.” In the location box, type in “Fort Collins.”

Then, click on “write a review ” for our listing at the top:

3. Write your review

Now you can write your review. First, select how many stars you feel we earned and then please tell the world a bit about your experience with BE.

When you’re finished, hit “Sign up and post” – the red button at the bottom. Follow the prompts to sign up for an account.

Please note that your review will be posted publically on the web for all to see. Your name, and any associated Yelp account photo, will also be publically visible.

And that’s all there is to it!

You’ll be helping us out tremendously as well as other men who are contemplating picking up the phone and calling us.

(Prefer to write us a Google review instead? Here’s what you need to know.)

Thank you!

BE 2015 year in review

how to dress for your new year's eve party

Welcome to 2016! Another year down and another year of opportunity, challenges, and success ahead, right? I think it’s good practice to take some time to reflect on the past year. What worked? What didn’t? What baggage are you carrying into 2016? From BE’s perspective, a lot happened in 2015. We have been hard at work building our reputation as the leading provider of Denver custom suits, and in surrounding areas.

In our first blog post of 2016, we are taking a look back. Here’s what happened over the past year, and a little bit about what we have planned for 2016.

Brett was married

On October 3rd, Brett was hitched to his wife, Carolyn! The wedding took place at a Durango camp where both Brett and Carolyn once worked as camp counselors. The wedding went smoothly and everyone had a great time. And in case you were wondering, the BE suits looked great :).

Ryan’s Colorado style project

Over the summer, I started an ambitious project. I wanted to discover what men’s style means for guys in Colorado. After all, there’s this perception that all we wear out here are flannels and buffalo check patterns with our jeans. So, what I did was reach out to a handful of creatives in the Denver and Fort Collins area – people that were doing innovative work – to have them design a custom dress shirt. The idea being, was that their unique background and influence, would trickle down into the shirt.

If you want to revisit my interviews and featured posts, you can find them here:

Brett’s work shirts

Brett has continued to develop his own personal style. And this year it is becoming clear that he has an affinity for what he calls his “work shirts,” shirts that he will wear day in and day out.

Yes, you can rock a 1 button jacket

common style mistakes men make

Do you own a single button jacket? Probably not, right?

It’s easy to think that the only men capable of wearing a 1 button sportcoat are Italian men on their way to, or returning from, their morning espresso. But the truth is, all men can wear a 1 button jacket.

Now it does take a little bit of swagger to pull off because it is a more fashion forward design, but don’t let that scare you off, this type of jacket can be very versatile.

Let’s consider two ends of the spectrum…

The office

A 1 button jacket is always going to be a little bit more casual than anything where you’re more buttoned up like a 2 button or a double breasted jacket. So if you have that big presentation or you’re asking for money from someone, exercise a little caution and dress a little bit more formal that day.

However, for an average day at the office when you’re working with clients and going out to lunch, a 1 button jacket should be just fine. You’ll exude casual sophistication!

Just be careful if you need to wear a tie as this can be tricky with only 1 button. Unless you have a high button location you’re going to see a whole lot more tie than usual. And even if your button is placed higher than usual you’re going to see more of your tie than you want to below it! In my personal opinion, I think you’re better off wearing a great looking dress shirt and sporting a pocket square than you are reaching for a neck tie.

Bottom line: A 1 button jacket is perfectly acceptable for the office. It’ll set you apart from the crowd and help to create an image of effortless style.

Date night

A night out on the town is reason enough to own at least one single button jacket. It is going to instantly provide you with some style credit.

Just pick a dark color (not pure black) and make sure it fits. You’ll be able to pair it with almost any pair of pants and plenty of different shirts. Go dressy with a white shirt and French cuffs and pressed white pocket square – very James Bond! Or, dress it down with a carefully chosen T-shirt.

Bottom line: Instant style boost – your significant other will notice.
